MALP 2025 at the Publishing Ireland Conference
The MA Literature and Publishing programme at the University of Galway had the privilege of attending this year's Publishing Ireland Conference in November. Every speaker there had a lot to offer, from more hot-button discussions like Pan Macmillan Global AI lead Sara Lloyd's presentation to Simon Mellins's wonky but just as stimulating discussion of accessibility in publishing.
We also attended the launch of The Accidental Publisher at the O’Brien Press 50th Anniversary celebration, in conjunction with the anniversary reprint of Me Jewel and Darlin’ Dublin. It was, for us, a real privilege to brush with this integral part of Irish publishing history.
